    Year: Label: Century Media Alive in Athens was recorded on the nights of January 23rd and January 24th in Athens, Greece. Iced Earth was the only band who played at the Rodon Club those nights, and they performed in front of sold-out crowds (of approximately people) both nights. Iced Earth did not want to make a standard, run-of-the-mill.

    Tja, Iced Earth sind auch nicht mehr das, was sie mal waren. Ihre letzten Alben sind eher so lala, und Jon Schaffer macht mit seinem Redneck-Gefasel in Interviews in Sachen Schwachsinnigkeit Dave Mustaine und Ted Nugent Konkurrenz. Da blicke ich doch lieber zurück, denn erschien mit "Alive In Athens" ein echtes Monster von einem Livealbum/5(95).

    Iced Earth: The Dark Saga CD Dark Saga: CD I Died For You: (Live)" is a bonus track on the Alive In Athens album in this box set. So all the tracks from The Melancholy EP are on here just scattered about. Though for the completest in me, I would have liked to have had that included as a disc by itself, simply because.

    The Dark Saga was the last Iced Earth album to feature longtime bassist Dave Abell, who left the group after finishing recording. Although Abell was credited for playing on the album, bassist Keith Menser appears on the back cover, because the band's label, Century Media Records, wanted the touring line-up to appear on the cover.
