“suki desu” could be very confusing. We say “niku ga suki desu” (I like meat), “game ga suki desu” (I like game), etc, casually. There is no problem when you say “suki desu” to objects/animals, but not person. Be careful when you say “suki desu” t.

Aug 30,  · 'Suki' is to like and 'desu' is simply a polite way to end a sentence. Suki is pronounced as 'ski' and desu as 'des'. To say 'suki desu' doesn't really make sense, unless you were pointing at something but it's not very proper. Normally you'd say [something] ga suki desu. To say something is your favourite you'd say [something] ga daisuki desu.

"Dai Suki" means "I love you" in Japanese. It's also commonly used in Japanese Animes to express affection. There are several tendencies to express love in Japanese. "Suki" means "I like you" and an even stronger way to express your love would be "Aishiteru". There are also polite forms of "Aishiteru". "Aishite iru" is a less colloquial form of "Aishiteru".

Nov 02,  · The negative form of です (desu) in POLITE form is じゃありません (Ja arimasen) and the INFORMAL/PLAIN form of "Ja arimasen" is じゃない (ja nai). So, the only difference is the context in which they are used. If you are speaking to your boss, or someone older than you in Japan, you would use, じゃありません (Ja arimasen.
